Aging Certification
For products that increase in value with time â wine, baijiu, aged tea, cured goods â IGSO certifies the authenticity, integrity, and continuity of the aging process.
What Is Certified Aging?
The IGSO Aging Certification Standard establishes a global, tamper-proof framework for verifying and certifying the aging of premium agricultural and food products. This ensures that aging is real, continuous, uninterrupted, and authentically stored â not fabricated, backdated, or manipulated.
It applies to categories where aging defines value: wine, baijiu, whiskey, puer tea, oolong tea, aged vinegar, dry-aged meats, cured specialty goods, and select GI products. IGSO turns aging into a verifiable, certifiable, and monetizable asset.
How Aging Certification Works
Aging Begins at Label Print (A0)
When the producer prints an IGSO-certified QR/RFID label, the timestamp becomes the official A0 start of aging. Aging cannot be backdated, modified, or manually updated. All aging value begins from this certified moment.
Aging Progresses Automatically
The IGSO system calculates time elapsed continuously from A0. No producer or retailer can accelerate or reset aging. All aging stages are automatically validated. Freshness uses countdown; aging uses count-up. Both are immutable.
Live Cert Validates Storage Conditions
To maintain aging certification, products must pass through verified storage facilities, authenticated warehouses, and Live Cert-enabled nodes. The system verifies time continuity, storage integrity, and prevents relabeling or substitution.
Integrity Protection
The system automatically detects label reprints, age resets, inventory swaps, inconsistent movement, and suspicious gaps in storage history. Any anomaly invalidates aging certification. Only products with unbroken IGSO-verified aging chains retain official certification.
